Here is the Amount Of Money ODM Politicians Pay Every Month

ODM Party representatives in Mombasa will be barred from contesting in the ODM party elections that are set to run from today till Tuesday, next week.

Some County Representatives have not yet cleared their arrears, with some Members of County Assembly (MCAs) accumulating a deficit of up to Sh30,000.

MCAs are supposed to pay an amount of Sh3,000 per month, with the Women Representatives and the MPs remitting a monthly amount of Sh10,000. The Governors and Senators pay Sh20,000 each on a monthly basis.

ODM Executive Oduor Ong'wen issued invoice to the MCAs, but the National Elections Board Commisioner Mr Amana Mwajirani claims that MCAs from Kilifi have not submitted their monthly payments despite being warned.

He further added that those who had not paid will in no way way participate in the upcoming elections, and anyone who participates in any form of chaos will be automatically disqualified.

The delegates, however, presented a bid to elect their leaders through consensus rather than ballot voting to minimize the cost of election.

CORD Co-Principal, Moses Wetangula, is expected to arrive in Mombasa today to chair ODM meetings.
