'Intelligent' Gang Shocks Police

A secret gang has left police officers baffled by the clinical nature in which four vehicles were vandalized on Thursday night at King’ong’o estate in Nyeri Town.

The residents on Friday morning woke up to find four personal cars that had been parked outside an apartment complex vandalized with the culprits making away with wheels, lamps, stereo systems, mirrors and even control knobs.

It became apparent that the unknown gang must have used surgical gloves while carrying out the act, since there was almost no dependable evidence not even fingerprints left at the scene.

However, police suspect that one of the criminals must have been injured during the operation as stains of blood were spotted.

“They are very intelligent criminals but we were able to collect some crucial samples so they will not go far.” Nyeri Central deputy OCPD Abdi Adan asserted.

Mr Adan urged residents to take precaution when parking their cars and faulted them for leaving them outside their residential compounds unattended the whole night.

Residents now fear that vandalism is a new trend that is taking root in the town as a month ago, two boys aged nine and seven were caught by taxi operators at around 10pm in process of selling steal car parts.
