Joho Academic Row Sparks a Classmate Challenge on Social Media

Mombasa Governor Ali Hasan Joho's ongoing academic row took a new twist after Kenyans went online to seemingly mimic the Governor who is being accused of forging his KCSE result slip.

Netizens on social media used the ongoing debate to create a challenge to seemingly encourage each other to look for their former school mates.

Some posted pictures of their former classmates noting that it was important for them to remain close in case they will need their assistance in future.

Others used the moment to make hilarious post highlighting that their former colleagues might provide reliable evidence just in case they found themselves in Joho's situation.

Joho got into trouble after the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) claimed that he did not possess genuine academic documents.

He was later summoned to appear before the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Mombasa to be grilled over the alleged forgery of his KCSE slip.

The Orange Democratic Movement deputy leader is set to record a statement with the authorities on Wednesday.
