Isiolo North Member of Parliament (MP) Joseph Samal has been rushed to Nairobi hospital after collapsing at Parliament buildings.
Mr Samal was relaxing at Parliament Members Lounge ahead of an afternoon session to debate the President's nomination of Lawyer Wafula Chebukati as the chairman of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
The legislators were also expected to discuss the nomination of six other commissioners.
Details of his condition remain scanty.
