The Jubilee National Elections Board has cancelled results for the Starehe constituency Nominations.
The results were cancelled on Thursday afternoon after popular Musician Charles Njagua Kanyi aka Jaguar lost to Starehe Member of Parliament Maina Kamanda.
Jaguar lost controversially after initial reports indicated that he had won the nominations.
The announcement of Kamanda as the winner forced Jaguar to storm out of the tallying centre in Jamhuri Secondary School.
Jaguar and his supporters protested the results as they marched to Jubilee Headquarters at Pangani where he reported his case.
Shortly afterwards, the Jubilee National Elections Board announced that the nominations had been cancelled and no certificate would be issued until the votes are recounted.
The president, who was also at the party headquarters, stated that Jubilee was committed to carrying out free and fair elections and would not entertain election malpractices.
