Kenyans and stakeholders who seek to attend and participate in the upcoming Devolution Conference must part with between Ksh20,000 and Ksh350,000.
This is after the Council of Governors (CoG) officially opened registration for the highly anticipated Devolution Conference 2025, set to take place from August 12 to 15 in Homa Bay County.
The 2025 conference is county governments' flagship governance forum, and promises to bring together policymakers, development partners, private sector leaders, and citizens to reflect on the progress and future of devolution.
To participate in the highly anticipated event, delegates will be required to pay Ksh20,000 to attend the four-day event, while exhibitors will have to part with Ksh50,000.
For organizations seeking maximum visibility, pavilion space is available at a premium cost of Ksh350,000.
According to the CoG chairperson and Wajir County Governor, Ahmed Abdullahi, the fees are necessary to cover logistical costs and ensure a high-quality experience for all participants.
“This is a platform for shaping policy, sharing best practices, and building networks that will influence the next phase of devolution,” said a spokesperson from the Council.
Themed 'For the People, For Prosperity: Devolution as a Catalyst for Equity, Inclusion, and Social Justice', this year’s conference aims to spotlight the transformative power of devolved governance in addressing inequality and delivering services closer to the people.
The event has been organized by the CoG in collaboration with various state and non-state actors. It is aimed to mark a significant journey in the future of devolution.
The conference will feature high-level plenary sessions, dynamic side events, and exhibitions showcasing innovations in governance and service delivery.
“Prepare to immerse yourself in thought-provoking plenary sessions, partner-driven dynamic side-events, and interactive exhibitions showcasing ground-breaking innovations in governance and service delivery,” CoG chairperson Abdullahi, revealed.
The CoG has invited interested Kenyans and stakeholders to actively engage in the discourses, challenge ideas, and inspire bold solutions that will shape Kenya’s Devolution journey and close the Socio-Economic divide among counties.
