The Jubilee Party has postponed the ongoing nominations in seventeen counties following technical hitches witnessed earlier in the day.
Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju on Friday announced that the exercise would be repeated in Nandi, Kericho, Baringo, Bomet, Trans Nzoia, Nakuru, Embu, Nandi, Uasin Gishu, Narok, Kiambu, Murang'a, Nyeri, Laikipia, Meru, Nyandarua and Kajiado.
Tuju expressed regret and apologised that the exercise had been faced with the difficulties which led to the cancellation of the primaries.
He, however, did not give the exact dates when the repeat exercise would take place.
This followed an outcry from supporters and aspirants over the lack of enough voting material compared to the number of registered voters.
The primaries had been marred by chaotic scenes with voters who turned up at different polling stations expressing discord after failing to participate in the voting.
In Kirinyaga, a confrontation erupted after gubernatorial aspirant Anne Waiguru stormed one of the polling stations in Gichugu decrying lack of enough ballot papers.
Waiguru declared that the exercise would not continue until the Jubilee party supplies adequate voting materials.
