Jubilee Warns of Conmen Selling Party Certificates

The Jubilee Party has sent out an urgent warning about a group of people who have been using the names of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto to swindle its members.

Through a media statement, Head of Jubilee secretariat Raphael Tuju stated that the group has been claiming to be close to the Head of State promising to give some aspirants party certificates at a fee.

Tuju termed these as “pure lies” meant to con aspirants, adding that Jubilee would not favour anyone and would conduct free and fair nominations in the upcoming primaries.

“We are also aware of some people claiming to be close to President Uhuru and Ruto, saying they are in a position to secure certificates at a small fee. This is a lie,” read the statement.

According to the former Rarieda MP, the party had not issued certificates to its members hence no one should claim to be in possession of such documents.

“We wish to make it categorically clear that the Jubilee Party has not issued any such certificates. As of now, the certificates have not even been printed,” indicated former MP.

Tuju maintained that the party leaders did not have any preferred candidates explaining that the tactics were being used by some aspirants to scare away any competition.
