Kalonzo Musyoka Holds Meeting with Musalia Mudavadi at Wiper Headquarters

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Wednesday held a private meeting with his ANC counterpart Musalia Mudavadi.

Though details remain scanty, the meeting which took place at the Wiper headquarters in Lavington came a few minutes after Musyoka declared that the National Super Alliance (NASA) was yet to select its presidential candidate.

Addressing the press after the deliberations, the two assured that the anxiety being caused by the NASA presidential flag bearer issue would soon be over.

“The anxiety will come to an end and soon one of us will present papers to the IEBC. Nothing has been concluded so people have to wait for formal communication,” stated Mudavadi.

They further discouraged against the statements being made by various members of NASA adding that any decision would be communicated by the four principals.

According to Nairobi Deputy Governor Jonathan Mueke, the leaders were consulting on matters regarding Alliance as they prepare for a retreat to discuss the flag bearer issue.

Mueke, failed to divulge more details regarding the private forum insisting that there was no discord in the Opposition and the two were just having a “cup of tea”.

He assured that the leaders would not discuss the presidential candidate issues without their counterparts – ODM's Raila Odinga and Moses Wetangula of Ford Kenya.

“There is no discord in NASA, They all work as a team. They are just consulting and catching up before the retreat,” stated Mueke.

The Deputy Governor maintained that the National Coordinating Committee (NCC) was yet to conclude its work adding that a line up that was reportedly leaked to the media was false.
