Kalonzo Threatens 'Missing' Governor Mutua

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has warned Machakos Governor Dr. Alfred Mutua to resurface or face a disciplinary action by the party, over his alleged disappearance from the public.

While speaking on the governor's recent disappearance from the county's offices and public eye, the CORD coalition co-principal warned Dr Mutua that he would face sanctions over his conduct.

The Machakos County Boss is being accused of derailing development activities in the county due to his absenteeism.

According to Machakos Deputy Governor Benard Kiala, Mutua has been absent for more than one month putting his roles on hold.

The County Assembly has now given the Governor one week to resume duty or else the MCAs will unspecified action against him.

Earlier on, Mutua dismissed those claiming he had gone missing, noting that he was out of the country hunting for goodies to improve the livelihood of Machakos people.

"To this end, I have committed to spend the first few months of this year hunting for goodies for my people so that their lives can improve. As leaders, we have to think outside the box and sacrifice our time, comforts and energy so as to fulfill our pledges for the benefit of Wananchi," Mutua posted on Facebook.

Meanwhile, Matungulu MP Stephen Mutinda Mule called for the arrest of Mutua upon his arrival in the country in connection with corruption allegations in his government
