KANU Party Secretary General Nick Salat might be on his way to mint a lot of money from his popular phrase, "Ndani Ndani Ndaani kabisa".
This is after word went round that his lawyers were working towards copyrighting the phrase.
Salat made the statement in February during the launch of the National Super Alliance (NASA) at Bomas of Kenya as he pledged his party's allegiance to the Opposition.
The veteran politician, however, changed tune just a few days and declared KANU's support for President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The phrase quickly gained popularity and is widely used in day to day conversations, radio shows and events to emphasise one's availability or support for something.
Salat was recently asked whether he planned to copyright the phrase so that he could benefit and replied,"Lawyers are eager to give ideas...I have lawyers working on it,"
he stated.
"When it started to trend, my bishop called and asked what I meant by saying ndani. I told him, "Bishop, ni ndani ya Yesu (Born again)," he revealed.
The viral video of the politician using the phrase has over 1.6 million views on YouTube.
