Alego-Usonga MP George Omondi has warned ODM leader Raila Odinga to stay away from the politics of Luo-Nyanza region if he wants to avoid voter apathy during the August 8 Election.
Mr Omondi claimed that Odinga was the main reason for low voter turnout in the region because of imposing ODM candidates on the people.
The legislator observed that there was high voter apathy in 2013 Elections because officials interfered with party primaries.
He asked the former Prime Minister to allow people go to the nominations and elect leaders of their choice to ensure they turn out in large numbers during elections.
The MP requested Odinga and other party officials not to endorse candidates if they wanted to avoid a scenario similar to that witnessed in 2013.
Mr Omondi, who was elected on a Wiper ticket but defected to ODM, urged the electorate in the region to turn out in large numbers and vote the Jubilee administration out.
