Kenyan Priest Forced Out Of Office Over Homosexuality

A priest from the Anglican Church of Kenya has been suspended from office on allegations of practising homosexuality.

The priest is accused of luring four young men by asking them to visit him for spiritual guidance, but ended up forcing them to engage in the act forbidden by most christians.

Reportedly the 'man of God' has been spending nights with the young men at the Vicar's house.

The Anglican Church has asked the preacher to step down after it received complaints about his behavior. A tribunal comprising the clergy has also been formed to investigate the matter.

Mt Kenya West diocese Bishop Joseph Kagunda said that if the claims against the priest were found to be true, he would be discharged from office.

The Bishop firmly pointed out that the church's doctrine was against homosexuality and said that the church would not put up with such behaviors.

This comes amid a lot of grumbling around the subject of homosexuality on whether it should be legalised or not.

President Uhuru Kenyatta, however, stated that homosexuality and the legality of the matter is a non issue to Kenya as the country had more serious matters to address. He said during US president Barack Obama's visit to Kenya.
