Kenyans Angered After Aden Duale Claims Amina Mohamed Was Rigged Out of AU Elections by Kofi Annan

ational Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale has become the subject of anger from Kenyans who were disappointed by his claims that Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohamed was rigged out in the elections for AU Chairperson.

On Tuesday, Duale was quoted by the Star, claiming that Ms Mohamed’s loss was orchestrated by former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, assisted by ICC activists.

"A number of issues which were at play. I even saw a group of activists led by Kofi Annan at the ICC discrediting our candidate," Duale stated.

The Majority Leader also extended the manipulation blame to France, whose former colonies (Francophone countries) voted for Chad's Moussa Mahamat.

Duale’s sentiments were not well received by Kenyans on social media, many of them terming his accusations as outrageous.

Here are some of the reactions:

Duale always has a loose talks, is a complainer man who just talk because pple are talking, Annan has nothing to Au Election, bure kabisa pic.twitter.com/o6wd6zQROk
