Kenyans Bash IPSOS Over Raila Retirement Results

The recent polls carried out by IPSOS Synovate revealing that most Kenyans want CORD leader Raila Odinga to retire, has raged a storm on social media.

Tom Wolf of IPSOS Synovate was attacked over the research results, with questions raised around the strategy used to carry out the research.

The research company was accused of targeting the former prime minister, with influence from his competitors, so as to disable him politically.

The latest polls indicated that 56-percent of the respondents interviewed prefer Odinga to either retire completely from politics or not to contest at all.

34-percent of those interviewed pointed out that they would rather have Odinga retire completely from politics while 22-percent prefer him remaining active but not as a presidential candidate.

Only 35-percent want the Opposition principal to contest in the upcoming General Election.

IPSOS had carried out a similar research in September and April this year where the results revealed that 37-percent and 34-percent (respectively) of the population wanted Odinga to completely retire from politics.

Many have indicated displeasure in the polls while others went ahead to agree and appreciate the results.

Here are the reactions:

When will Tom Wolf retire from conducting fake opinion polls @IpsosKe ?

Tom Wolf must know that Kenyans are aware that his @IpsosKE is a Jubilee propaganda tool for 2017 elections. We are NOT fools.
