Kiambu's Ann Nyokabi Reveals Women Representatives Threatened to Undress if Not Allocated Kitty

Kiambu Women Representative Ann Nyokabi Gatheca has revealed that all the 47 Women Representatives threatened to strip naked in order to secure their kitty from the National Treasury.

Speaking at Witeithie in Juja, the Kiambu women Representative stated that the female legislators had vowed to undress in front of Treasury Cabinet Secretary Henry Rotich, and the Chairman of Parliamentary Budget Committee Chairman, Rev. Mutava Musyimi if their kitty was not included in the National budget.

“Musyimi, who is a Reverend, pleaded with us not to do that, saying he would ensure Women Reps are included in the budget – and that was done,” she emphasised.

Ms Nyokabi further indicated that the National Treasury, through CS Henry Rotich’s leadership was slow to implement their demands prompting them to issue the same threat again.

“We went to Rotich since he is a man like Mutava and threatened to undress before him after inviting the media. The CS gave out the money.

“If you think our problems ended here you are wrong, the civil society went to court to block the money. However Judge Odunga finally gave us an order to have our way,” she stated.

The Women Representative were finally allocated Sh7 Million each during the reading of the 2017/2018 budget.
