Kidero Attacked Over Nairobi Killer Floods

Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero came under heavy attack on Saturday morning after posting a condolence message to families that lost their loved ones and property in the heavy floods pounding the City.

Kidero's 537 worded message was not taken kindly by a section of the public who blamed his Government for the current predicament facing Nairobi residents.

In his long statement, Kidero tried to explain some of the challenges his Government was facing in managing the disastrous situation, but some Kenyans did not want to hear any of it and demanded to know what his Government had done before hand to manage the disaster.

“What is your govt doing to avoid such happenings......or you are waiting for another tragedy so you can apologise” Kidero was put to task.

The Nairobi Governor was also questioned over the Millions of shillings set aside last year for Disaster Management after high alerts of looming El-Nino floods.

Kidero was called upon to act and stop mere politics in Nairobi with some reminding him that 2017 was fast approaching.

However, some Kenyans supported the Governor urging him to continue in his efforts to make Nairobi a better place.

This comes after a six storey building collapsed in Huruma area, killing seven people and injuring 132 others.
