One of Kenya’s most prestigious hotels has surprised Kenyans after it offered a generous Valentine’s Day offer where those eligible will pay a meagre sum of Sh93 for a full night
Located in Kisumu city, Acacia Premier Hotel has recently hosted international stars such as Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o, Victoria Beckham, Tanzania’s Diamond Platinumz, music legend Oliver Mtukudzi, among many others.
So special is the facility that Ms Nyong’o hosted the Vogue Magazine team there when they travelled for a photo shoot in her home county.
Why would a luxurious hotel charge Sh93? Well, wonder no more.
Turns out that the hotel has a special spot for romance and has introduced an online campaign dubbed #93reasonstolove where couples will participate by submitting poems.
The lucky couple whose poem emerges the best will get the special valentine treatment for just Sh93.
"One lucky couple will win a night in Acacia’s superior room overlooking Lake Victoria, breakfast, a bouquet of roses, a bottle of wine, an hour-long romantic boat ride and an entry to The Apple & Rose Affair," the hotel's communication office confirmed to Kenyans.co.ke.
The 93 figure was inspired by the fact that the hotel has the same number of rooms.
