CORD leaders have come to the defense of former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka over allegations that he illegally acquired his 500-acre land at Yatta in Machakos County.
They have also rubbished claims that Raila grabbed a piece of land at Ramogi Institute of Advanced Technology.
National Assembly Minority leader Francis Nyenze and Senator Judy Sijeny said the claims by Jubilee is a ruse to cover up the NYS saga involving Devolution CS Ann Waiguru, Citizen Tv reports.
According to The Standard, 4 Jubilee MPs on Monday demanded that the National Land Commission (NLC) investigates how Raila and Kalonzo acquired the land parcels in question.
Opposition MPs on Tuesday, however, said that Kalonzo became a target after he demanded an audit be done on the NYS.
The Star reports that the leaders from Ukambani claimed to have the documents showing the rightful and legal purchase of the land by Kalonzo.
Suspended Lands CS Charity Ngilu also defended Kalonzo on Monday, with K24 reporting that she claimed that Kalonzo, a Kamba could not steal from his people.
