Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua Orders Kalonzo to Apologise

Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has been ordered to make a public apology by Tuesday next week failure to which he will be sued.

Speaking in Machakos town, area Governor Alfred Mutua told Musyoka to issue an official apology for linking him to kidnapping of his (Mutua) deputy David Kiala's daughter a week ago.

Mutua expressed his anger affirming that he would proceed to sue for defamation if the CORD co-principal did not admit his mistake of accusing him falsely.

The former Wiper member who has since parted ways with the party insisted that he was not interested in the millions he will get in damages in he wins the case, but want Kalonzo to own up his mistake.

“If he fails to apologise, I will not be left with any other option but to meet him in court on Tuesday. I am not in need of the likely Sh3-5 Million charges that may be drawn from the offense. I only wish for Kalonzo to humbly express regret for the slip of the tongue when he has the chance,” Mutua declared.

Kiala's daughter was found in her boyfriend's house in Nairobi's Mwiki estate a few days after the deputy governor claimed that she had been kidnapped.

He stated that her captors had demanded that he drops his Machakos gubernatorial bid in case he wanted to find his daughter alive.

Following the claim, Kalonzo linked the Maendeleo Chap Chap leader to the disappearance stating that he would be answerable if Kiala's daughter was harmed.
