A drunk man assaulted his wife and chopped off her ear after suspecting that she was having an affair with another man.
Ben Wenani, on Sunday night, broke into his own home wielding a knife and brutally attacked his wife at Mali Village in Bungoma South, shocking residents.
“He beat me before cutting my ear and left me writhing in pain yet I have never cheated on him for the seven years we have been married,”said Jane Namachanja while speaking to journalists on Tuesday.
Ms Namachanja stated that she was inherited by Mr Wenani, following the death of her first husband and that their marriage was marred by disagreements.
The victim urged the police to arrest her husband because besides the assault, he had earlier on threatened to kill her.
Bungoma OCPD David Kirui, said they had launched a search for the man who went missing after the incident.
