A bridegroom disappeared from his home on Friday Morning, hours before his wedding after learning that his HIV status had been leaked to members of his family.
The 28-year-old's body was found two days later, hanging on a tree along Hola-Wayu Road in Tana River, after relatives called off the ceremony to search for him.
The man is said to have discovered his positive status, when his in-laws demanded for a test to be done before he could get married to his fiancee.
Relatives of the deceased, however, faulted the health facility for his death, claiming that the staff did not follow the required procedures when informing a patient of their status.
Head of Tana River police, Sylester Githungo affirmed that investigations had been launched into the the matter.
