A Member of County Assembly (MCA) aspirant was hit on the head and later arrested after two rival groups clashed during Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) nominations in Naivasha yesterday.
Mr David Kilo also claimed he suffered chest and rib injuries after police officers roughed him up during his arrest.
Two voters were also seriously injured during the fracas where one suffered a leg fracture.
Mr Kilo blamed the chaos on the incumbent MCA Peter Wanjala.
“We call on the ODM office to nullify these elections as the incumbent MCA hired thugs to cause chaos after learning that he was losing,” Kilo stated.
Fellow aspirant Enock Kiminta called for a repeat of the nominations.
