Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho Among ODM Leaders Summoned for Hooliganism

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has been summoned by the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party's disciplinary committee to answer to hooliganism charges.

Other top ODM politicians summoned include Migori Governor Okoth Obado, Siaya Senator James Orengo, Suna East Member of Parliament Junet Mohamed and Ruaraka MP Tom Kajwang'.

The summons were conveyed to over 12 ODM politicians during a press briefing held at the ODM Headquarters on Friday.

The politicians will be required to appear in person to answer to the charges on Monday.

ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga in his address warned that the party would not condone acts of hooliganism during the party primaries.

The politicians were summoned following violent and chaos that erupted during political rallies in Migori, Mathare and Ruaraka.
