Moses Wetangula and Isaac Ruto Miss Raila's ODM Event at Kasarani

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has today endorsed it's party leader Raila Odinga to be Opposition's presidential candidate.

The event at Kasarani Indoor gymnasium was attended by over 4,000 ODM delegates and top senior politicians.

The National Super Alliance (NASA) was well represented by three principals but conspicuously missing were Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto and Ford-Kenya leader Moses Wetangula.

Many Kenyans questioned why they were absent from their flag-bearer's major event, but Amani National Congress leader Musalia Mudavadi moved to resolve the issue stating that the two Principals had other personal engagements.

"Let me convey the apologies of Moses Wetangula, who is currently in Uganda on personal engagements. Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto could not manage to attend this event because he had other official engagements in his home county," Mudavadi stated.

At the event, NASA Principals Kalonzo Musyoka and Mudavadi took a swipe at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) stating that they would not accept any results that are not free and fair.

On his part, Raila assured the Principals that he would work closely with all NASA partners to ensure that the coalition clinches the Presidency in August.

The ODM National Elections Board (NEB) issued Raila with a certificate that officially makes him the Opposition's man to face off with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
