Popular musician Charles Kanyi, popularly known as Jaguar, on Wednesday hit a motorcyclist and passenger with his Range Rover killing them on the spot.
According to the police, the musician was driving along Sagana-Makutano Road when he lost control and ran over James Maingi and Mugo Abdalla at around 3pm.
Jaguar confirmed the 3pm incident through a Facebook post where he wrote: “As it is now public, I was involved in a car accident. Sadly, lives were lost in the incident. It isn't any ones will to wake up and be involved in an accident such as this. My heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those affected."
The musician assured the public that administration of justice into the matter would be ensured.
Police later towed his vehicle to Sagana Police Station.
The musician recently declared his intention to vie for Starehe Parliamentary seat against activist Boniface Mwangi and incumbent Maina Kamanda.
He was recently on the spot after a young man was allegedly killed in one of his political rallies in Nairobi by angry youth.
Police confirmed the killing but Jaguar maintained the incident happened way after he had left the event.
