Mutahi Ngunyi Accused of Hate Speech Against Luos and Luhyas

The Law Society of Kenya has presented a petition to the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to have political analyst Mutahi Nguyi questioned over alleged hate speech remarks on his twitter page.

LSK CEO Apollo Mboya on Monday morning presented the petition to the NCIC.

LSK wants Ngunyi arrested and probed over his posts on social media, which it says amounts to hate speech.

Ngunyi has in the past made headlines with his controversial and politically charged posts.

His most recent tweets have been against CORD leader Raila Odinga.

He recently tweeted that Odinga should be charged with 'selfishness' with the judges being the 'poverty stricken Luos and Luhyas craving his bondage'.

In some tweets Ngunyi mocks the Luo and Luhya people of being 'spell bound' with Odinga.
