Mutahi Ngunyi Attacks Raila's Daughter Over Kibra Parliamentary Seat

Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has launched a scathing attack on CORD leader Raila Odinga's daughter, days after she announced her bid for the Kibra Parliamentary seat.

On January 21, 2017, Rosemary Odinga declared that she would be vying for the Kibra seat to dethrone incumbent Ken Okoth.

Mr Ngunyi rubbished Rosemary's candidacy mentioning that she had no clue what the people of Kibra needed.

The political scientist, who is also a fierce critic of Mr Odinga, alluded that the former Prime Minister's daughter was a 'Principal of Poverty', a description he had earlier used on her father.

Ngunyi pledged his support for Okoth adding that he had been instrumental in transforming the largest urban slum in Africa.

"No to PRINCIPALITIES of POVERTY. I support Ken Okoth for Kibera. He used 'Flying Toilets' until RECENTLY. Rosemary has no CLUE except Daddy!" Ngunyi said.

After Rosemary's declaration, Okoth told Kenyans.co.ke that he was not afraid of her entry in the 2017 race.

The lawmaker downplayed the candidature of his party leader’s daughter and expressed optimism that he would be re-elected with a good margin.

"I am not worried at all. I know I will be on the ballot in August 2017, we are going to campaign very hard, and I know we will win," Okoth assured.
