A job advertisement published in one of the local dailies has created a buzz on social media due to a quite unique requirement it bared.
The advert published on Wednesday requires 50 interested Kenyans to apply for urgent training as security officers and the interviews are to be conducted on February 15.
One of the requirements for interested candidates as indicated on the notice is a D+ or its equivalent. Interestingly, the company which only identified itself as "a reputable company in Nairobi", prefers a D + or an equivalent grade attained strictly under Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i's tenure.
“KCSE (Matiang'is) D+ or its equivalent,” reads one of the qualifications needed.
An image of the job advert was widely shared on social media with a majority of online users expressing that even the lower grades scored during Matiang'i's era were stronger than in previous tenures.
The Education CS has been the talk of many following his reforms in the Education sector that led to the administration of national exams without a single case of irregularity.
Many have now described the 2016 examination results as one of the most credible where candidates attained the marks they deserved.
