ODM has announced a major campaign strategy to neutralise the Jubilee wave in President Uhuru Kenyatta's home county of Kiambu.
The party's Kiambu branch announced that it would field candidates for various elective posts.
While announcing the list of activities in the county, Kiambu branch Secretary general Charles Mbugua NASA leaders have planned a meet-the-people tour in the area in the coming week.
Mbugua spoke in Kiambu town during a meeting with party delegates. Mbugua said they are focusing on the cosmopolitan areas of the county.
"We have a presidential candidate and we are focusing on building a winning formula," the ODM official announced.
Mbugua stated that the delegates agreed that the party would field 18 candidates for MCA and four MPs.
He also revealed that all the 18 candidates, who will be awarded direct nominations, will be unveiled during the visit by NASA principals.
The principals had planned an earlier rally at the Thika Sports Stadium that was canceled after hurdles arose in getting a license for use in the stadium.
