Meru Council of Elders Njuri Ncheke on Monday asked President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack Lands Cabinet Secretary (CS) Jacob Kaimenyi by June 14.
The elders further threatened to march to State House if the President did not meet their demands.
"We are the ones who lobbied for Kaimenyi to be appointed Cabinet Secretary. We urge President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack him and replace him with someone else," the elders demanded.
The group also placed a curse on the CS claiming he had triggered division among them.
They went ahead to perform rituals against Kaimenyi at the Nchiru shrine in Tigania West.
The elders also cursed Chuka University Vice Chancellor Elias Njoka accusing him of dividing the council.
Kaimenyi fought back stating that the council of elders was to blame for its misfortunes as it had forced old men to join the group.
"They are not the ones who appointed me...the President did...if he finds me unfit he can sack...they cannot tell him what to do," Kaimenyi stated at the Meru National Polytechnic.
This is not the first time the elders have clashed with Prof. Kaimenyi, as in 2015 they declared a curse on him for failing to honour summons to appear before them.
