Pastor and Wife Die After Prophet Owuor Rally

A pastor attached to Bethany Alter Church in Nakuru County and his wife were among the victims of the fatal Salgaa accident that occurred on Sunday night, while coming from Prophet David Owuor's crusade in Kisumu.

The two died on the spot after a bus rammed into their car which was parked at a bus stop in Migaa area.

William Keya, 59 and Serah Ingaitsa, 54 reportedly went to the crusade before the commence of the event to participate in organising and preparing the three-day rally, which began on 1st January, only to perish on their way back.

Ms Ingaitsa was the leader of hospitality in the church which her husband led and was set to retire from Nakuru Water and Sewerage Company at the end of this year.

According to Rongai Police boss Joseph Mwamburi, the bus experienced brake failure causing the ghastly accident and the driver was no where to be found after the incident.

"The driver, who was speeding, lost control of the vehicle, ramming a parked personal vehicle at a bus stop,” said Mwamburi.

The accident occurred one day after five teenagers were killed along the same road, making a total of eight lives lost and several hospitalised over one weekend.
