Pastor Victor Kanyari Set to Vie For Embakasi Central Parliamentary Seat on Jubilee Ticket

Controversial pastor Victor Kanyari has expressed his interest to vie for the Embakasi-Central parliamentary seat under a Jubilee Party ticket.

He stated that he had already submitted his nomination papers and was ready to lead the residents of Embakasi constituency since it is of sentimental value to him.

“This is where I was brought up, in fact, my first church was in Embakasi Central. The place is of sentimental value to me,” he stated.

He also vowed to bring change once elected, saying he knew most of the problems the residents have been facing and would improve infrastructure.

“I want to tell the people of Embakasi central to expect change when they vote for me. I know most of their problems including water issues and road problems,” he added.

Kanyari has been in the news for all the wrong reasons after an investigative journalist revealed some fishy activities in his church.

He is famous for the ‘panda mbegu slogan that he often used whenever he asked for money from unsuspecting Christians.

In a video that went viral, he was seen soliciting money from congregants in his church claiming he had the ability to heal terminal diseases.

He was further accused of living off the tithes and offerings of members of his church, something that did not go down well with members of the clergy.

Kanyari has, however, urged the public to forget about the scandals that rocked his church and instead focus on electing him as the Embakasi MP as he has what it takes to lead the constituency.
