Nairobi gubernatorial aspirant Peter Kenneth has filed an appeal case against Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko's win in the Jubilee gubernatorial nominations held on Wednesday.
Kenneth, through his team, on Saturday divulged that he had launched the petition claiming the whole process was shambolic.
In a letter to the Jubilee Party, Mr Kenneth stated that he had not conceded defeat and maintained that the process should be repeated.
"Kenneth has not decided otherwise nor conceded defeat since the entire process was a fraudulent and we are waiting for Jubilee party to take necessary action," Kenneth's team stated.
On Thursday, the aspirant called for the nullification of the results and a repeat of the exercise complaining over the change of the strategy the Party used in identifying voters during the nominations.
Sonko won the primaries after he garnered 138,185 against Kenneth's 62,504 votes.
The two are seeking to unseat incumbent Governor Evans Kidero in the August poll.
