A coffin was on Monday dumped outside President Uhuru Kenyatta's Office at Harambee House in Nairobi.
The white coffin smeared with red paint to symbolise blood was abandoned by lawyers, taxi drivers and bodaboda riders protesting over the killing of lawyer Willie Kimani, driver Joseph Muiruri and rider Josphat Mwenda.
Protesters reportedly left the coffin at Kenyatta's office saying it was the President's mandate to ensure justice especially for the deceased, whose bodies were discovered on Friday morning.
The peaceful demonstrations were announced by the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) last week highlighting that lawyers would boycott work for one week in solidarity with the slain colleague whose murder is linked to the police.
In Nairobi, protesters convened at Freedom corner in Uhuru Park, from where they marched to the Office of Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet at Jogoo house, the Attorney General's office and also the Supreme court.
They also passed by Nyayo House, infamously known for its torture chambers during former President Daniel Moi's regime, to remember the persecuted.
The protesters called for the ouster of Mr Boinnet and Interior and Coordination Cabinet Secretary Joseph Nkaissery.
