Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua broke into a dance on Tuesday during a luncheon which he hosted at his office, as a form of appreciation to members of his staff.
Mr Mutua hosted County Ministers, Chief Officers, Directors, Members of the County Public Service Board and their families in a fun-filled affair involving; games, food and various activities.
“I appreciate the zeal, commitment, discipline, sacrifice and effort that the team put as we serve 'Wananchi' and push forward the county's development agenda,” read his Facebook post in part.
In pictures he shared on his timeline, Mr Mutua is seen in pictures interacting with the families including children, taking photos and serving them with roasted meat.
“It has been a great year and I remain optimistic that this coming year will even be greater, as we aim not only to transform our county but the Nation. May God Bless you abundantly,” read his post.
Mr Mutua crowned the year with his employees after having sacked several county officials, in the past one year, who were implicated in corruption allegations.
In October, he suspended nine senior officials mainly from the health sector, over corruption and poor service delivery at Kathiani Hospital.
