A police officer attached to Itabua Police Station in Embu County shot and killed his wife before taking his life.
Constable Paul Rotich on Friday night ended the life of his wife, who was also an officer at the same station, then turned the gun to himself in the presence of their two children.
According OCPD Embu West, Francis Sang, the neighbours only heard gunshots and that there were indications of the couple engaging in any disagreement, leaving the cause of the action unknown.
“When we went there, nobody heard a quarrel, they only heard gun shots and that is when they came out,” said Sang.
The couple's children aged 6 and 3 were taken in by relatives as investigation into the incident was launched.
