President Uhuru Kenyatta Admits Investments by His Administration Have Not Been Felt at The Grass-roots

President Uhuru Kenyatta has for the first time admitted that the impact of his government's developmental agenda over the last four years has not been felt by the common mwananchi.

In a statement sent to newsrooms, the President stated that the full impact of his administration was yet to be felt by Kenyans.

Kenyatta noted that the projects rolled out by the Jubilee administration were great long-term investments that need time for their fruits to trickle down.

“We know that Kenyans have not yet felt the full impact of our investments, but we ask them to give us an opportunity to continue with what we are doing, so that in time, they will feel the full impact,” reiterated Kenyatta.

He cited the massive programmes such as the Standard Gauge Railway, rural electrification, roads building and free maternal services as agents of growth that need time.

The President added that Kenyans should instead exercise patience and give them another opportunity to continue with the plans they had set out for the country.

Kenyatta highlighted that Kenya has made strides over the four years he has been in power, adding that several projects pledged by his administration had been delivered.

He called on Kenyans to remain united and seek peace by rejecting the politics of negativity and ethnicity that was rife in Kenya.

The Jubilee administration took office on the 9th of April 2013, under a banner of youth and dynamism to revolutionize Kenya as an African powerhouse and spur growth to the Kenyan people.
