President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday made outrageous remarks about Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho.
Speaking during his tour in Kiambu County, the President described the Mombasa Governor as a mad man who he had dealt with during his tour of the coastal region.
"We will not keep responding to them even the mad man from Mombasa keeps on abusing me. I got done with him a long time ago in Mombasa.
"We can't keep on engaging in the exchange. I sometimes wonder who he keeps addressing," emphasised Mr Kenyatta
Uhuru and Joho have been at loggerheads since the President barred the Governor from attending the Mtongwe ferry relaunch in Mombasa and vowed to teach him a lesson.
Joho, on his part, has relentlessly accused the government of being behind his woes and even recently claimed the government was after his life.
On Wednesday, the Mombasa Governor sensationally alleged that the government planning to deport him.
Joho made those remarks at Mbaraki Sports Club when he met persons living with disability in Mombasa County.
“They are hatching a plan to deport me after they create false claims regarding my nationality. They plan to portray me as a foreigner and it will not work.
“Despite all the harassment, they will not shake me,” he revealed.
He further alleged that the attacks levelled against him were meant to deter him from vying for the Mombasa governorship seat.
