President Uhuru Kenyatta Condemns Violent Politicians During Embu Visit

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Wednesday confronted Jubilee politicians who had planned to disrupt his rally in Embu County.

Kenyatta stated that his party would not tolerate leaders who are out to divide his supporters, warning that those who do so risked being kicked out.

The head of state made the comments on Wednesday afternoon as some of the wrangling aspirants watched in silence.

The President also pleaded with the local youth not to be used by politicians who use violence as a means of getting power.

“If they ask for you to go fight for them, don’t agree. Ask them to bring their children from Nairobi so that they can fight on their behalf,” Kenyatta stated.

The Jubilee leader pleaded with the residents to register in large numbers so that they can re-elect him in large numbers.

The President’s visit had a high presence of security officers after intelligence reports revealed a plan by local politicians to hire youth who would heckle some of the leaders who were to accompany Kenyatta.

Youth and Gender Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki had also raised alarm that the wrangles between local leaders were affecting voter registration in the county.
