President Uhuru Kenyatta has blasted Jubilee aspirants who lost in the just concluded party primaries for blaming him for their loss.
Speaking at State House Nairobi when he met a delegation of Central Council of Nomiya Faith Churches, President Kenyatta stated that he was not to blame for the loss.
Kenyatta said that the voters made their decision during the nomination exercise and chose the leaders they wanted to represent them.

He pointed out that to him, the decisions made by the voters were an indication of the level of entrenchment of democracy in the country.
The President urged the losers in the Jubilee Party primaries to accept defeat instead of shifting blame.
Kenyatta’s sentiments come days after he lauded the revolution witnessed in the Jubilee primaries, that saw most of the incumbent leaders ousted, as an indication that Kenyans were tired of non-performing leaders.
"It is not a sign of unhappiness against the Jubilee Party but anger towards a particular crop of leaders.
Speaking at the Party’s headquarters in Pangani, Kenyatta had revealed that the incumbent leaders lost because they had done nothing for their people and had misused funds.
"It is these leaders who have not done anything for their people and have misused public funds," stated the President.
Several governors allied to Jubilee lost in the nominations including Governors William Kabogo (Kiambu), Cleophas Lagat (Nandi), Benjamin Cheboi (Baringo), Joseph Ndathi (Kirinyaga) and John Mruttu but the head of state insisted that the exercise was free and fair and it reflected the will of the people.
