Raila Odinga Reveals Strategy the Opposition Will Use to Curb Rigging

Opposition Chief Raila Odinga has revealed the strategy the Opposition would use to ensure they protect their presidential votes in the upcoming August 8 elections.

Mr Odinga stated that the strategy dubbed “adopt a polling station” would ensure that all the Opposition supporters vote in the General Election.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader indicated that his team would deploy more than 450,000 agents across the country - which translates to at least 10 agents in every polling station.

According to Odinga, the agents would always be in communication with the one central command that would be led by the National Super Alliance (NASA) secretariat.

He stated that it would be the responsibility of agents to consistently check who had not voted, according to the polling station’s voter register and tracing their whereabouts to ensure they vote.

The former Prime Minister believes that this is the best strategy to "stop Jubilee from rigging the election”.

"You are soon going to get information on how to adopt a polling station,” Odinga emphasised.

The NASA co-principal also reiterated that the Opposition would have their own tallying centre and that all agents would be required to immediately send results from their respective polling stations to the NASA presidential tallying centre.
