Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has caused panic in the Jubilee government after he stated that among his first actions when elected President, will be to ensure prosecution and imprisonment of Deputy President William Ruto and other powerful officials in the current administration.
Odinga stated that his National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition was fully committed in the war against corruption, adding that once in power, they would not spare powerful individuals who have benefited from graft under the Jubilee regime.
Among those that the ODM leader alleged to have participated in corruption included the Ruto, National Assembly Majority Leader Aden Duale, and Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen.
Odinga added that there were other several other senior officials in the Jubilee government who would be subjected to thorough investigation and face tough prison sentences under the NASA government.
The Opposition leader was speaking in Kasipul Kapondo, where he also indicated that top among his priorities would be the Eurobond scandal and the Sh 1.6 Billion at the National Youth Service (NYS).
In both instances, the investigations have stalled with some of the suspects pointing fingers at powerful individuals in government.
