Raila's Sends Easter Holiday Message

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga on Saturday sparked excitement in a majority of his supporters following a video posted online.

In the clip on his Facebook page, Odinga urged Kenyans to maintain peace during the Easter holiday calling on them to consider the purpose of this period.

Odinga reiterated the need to stay safe during this festive season and avoid overindulging which sometimes leads to deaths especially through accidents.

“As Kenyans celebrate this festivity they should conduct themselves with restraint. We have lost lives in the past during Easter holidays because people tend to overindulge themselves and engage in reckless driving,” he cautioned.

The video immediately elicited diverse reactions from social media users. A majority seemed to have been excited by the message with most wishing the Opposition leader a Happy Easter.

However, a section would not stay clear of politics and some urged him and the National Super Alliance (NASA) to select the Opposition's flag bearer maintaining their readiness to support the Coalition.
