Redykulass Comedian John Kiarie Defeats Dennis Waweru in Jubilee Dagoretti South Nominations

Former Redykulass Comedian John Kiarie alias KJ has been declared the winner of the Dagoretti South constituency Jubilee nominations.

KJ won the seat after garnering 9,792 beating incumbent Member of Parliament Dennis Waweru who got 9,052 votes.

The former comedian had in 2007 and 2013 elections contested for the same seat on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) ticket but lost in both instances.

Kiarie ditched ODM in February 2016 stating that the party did not satisfy his interests.

Mr Waweru had earlier expressed interest in vying for the Nairobi Gubernatorial seat but changed heart to defend his Dagoretti South seat which he has now lost to KJ.

Here are some reactions on KJ's win:

Am a happy man today for John Kiarie for Winning the Nomination for Dagoretti South JP Ticket. @JohnKiarieKJ
