Leading telecommunication services provider Safaricom on Wednesday launched its latest product, FLEX, during a colourful event held at Prestige Plaza in Nairobi.
FLEX is the all new way to use data, calls and SMS through the same bundle and customers will get more value for their money.
FLEX units can be bought by dialling *100# or *200# on Prepaid and Postpaid packages respectively and selecting “FLEX”.
Customers will receive an SMS notification for a successful purchase.
The three packages available are;
Daily Sh99 – 119 Flex units
Weekly Sh599 – 700 Flex units
Monthly Sh2499 – 3100 Flex units
1 Flex unit gives 3SMSs, 3MB data and 20seconds of talk time.
Customers are also set to be given 3 free Flex Units for every M-Pesa send transaction above Sh100.
This means that if you are subscribed to FLEX for 30 days and send money on M-Pesa once every day, that will translate to 90 FREE FLEX for the month!
It is important to note that Flex units cannot be transferred but subscribers will be able to buy Flex for a third party via USSD (100# & *200#).
Daily Flex subscription will be rolled over by purchasing another Flex Daily pack if the customer has adequate airtime for automatic renewal at midnight.
This latest move by Safaricom is aimed at giving their customers value for money as well as a simplified and a more flexible way of getting a single bundle that will give them units to use for calls, browsing or SMS.
