1. The Standard Media Group

The Standard Group Ltd (SG) was among some of the subjects netizens were discussing for the better part of the morning.

This was fueled by an advertisement the company placed on Twitter for a job vacancy of a Senior Brand Executive in the Nairobian - a publication owned by the media house.

This offer seemed to excite a section of the public who went online to shower praises on the Group for what they termed as always providing factual and comprehensive news.

2. Kenya7s

The Kenya rugby sevens team was among the top trends following its performance in the ongoing HSBC series tournament in Las Vegas, United States.

The team popularly referred to as Shujaas lost 7-24 to New Zealand in their opening game before drawing 14-14 with Argentina.

3. 6 Alliance

The topic was trending after six Alliance High School students who were accused of torturing Form One students were charged with assault at the Kikuyu Law Court.

They denied the charges and were released on a Sh20,000 cash bail.

The Baringo Senator was also on top of the trends after declaring that he was willing to support Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.

A majority of social media users used the hashtag to join the rest of the world in celebrating wildlife and advocating for the protection of the wild animals especially the endangered ones.
