Kenyans were on Wednesday morning engaged in various discussions on social media including:

State House

President Uhuru Kenyatta' official residence was a topic of discussion following a joint press briefing with United Nations Secretary General António Guterres.

The two leaders also held talks to discuss regional issues including hunger, drought, terrorism and security.

The house on the hill was also trending following US President Donald Trump's phone call to Kenyatta. The leaders discussed among other issues the importance of the two countries to come together and fight terrorism.

Escalate

The word made it to the trends after an alleged private conversation of striking doctors was shared on social media by State House official, Dennis Itumbi.

According to the chat, the doctors responded with the word escalate after President Kenyatta and Council of Governors chairman Peter Munya withdrew a previous Sh14.5 Billion offer given to them to end the strike.

The International Women's Day, which is celebrated on March 8, was on Kenya's top trends as various online users took to social media to mark the global event.

This year's theme - Be Bold for Change - provided a chance for the world to celebrate courageous women in the society while encouraging others to be bold in their various sectors.

Nanyuki Law Court

A dramatic scene unfolded at Nanyuki Law courts after supporters of Laikipia North MP Mathew Lempurkel stormed the courtroom where he was to be charged.

Mr Lempurkel was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and taken in for interrogation at the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) headquarters, over increased cases of invasion of private property in his constituency.

Jackson Kibor

Veteran Eldoret politician Jackson Kibor made it to the trends after he was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly shooting at his son three times.

The conflict between Kibor and his son, Ezekiel, erupted following a dispute over a 200-acre piece of land.

The wealthy businessman has since been disarmed.
