Tuskys Supermarket Bans Sweets for Change, Introduces Alternative

In what comes as good news for shoppers, Tuskys Supermarket has banned giving of sweets to customers as part of the change.

Customers will instead, be given airtime or be able to store the change as 'e-coins' on their loyalty cards.

The money on loyalty cards can be redeemed any time and used to pay as one woul with a debit card.

This comes after complains by customers who faulted the supermarket chain for giving sweets as part of change, a habit that seems to be making its way across many retail stores in the country.

The initiative, the first of its kind in Kenya, is certainly set to resonate well with the retail chain shoppers.

While notifying them of the initiative via twitter, Tuskys sought to let its customers know that their complains had been heard:
