Uhuru and Margaret Mourn JKUAT Student Grace Nduta Mwaura who was Brutally Killed

President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta on Monday sent an emotional message to a family, that hails from Gatundu, whose daughter was brutally murdered.

In his condolence message that was delivered by the Head of Intelligence in the President’s Office, Kennedy Kihara, Kenyatta mourned Grace Nduta Mwaura, as a young woman who had great promise.

“Margaret and I learnt of the death of Grace Nduta Mwaura with great sorrow. Like many of you, we are parents. Our hearts go out to her parents at this time of grief.

“Like many of you, Gatundu is my home. So my heart goes out to my own community which has lost a young woman of achievement, of good character and of even a greater promise,” said the President via Kihara.

Nduta, who was an engineering student at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), was buried in Gatundu, Kiambu county on Monday.

Miss Nduta went missing on January 25 and was found on February 2 with her body chopped into pieces and thrown into a coffee plantation in Juja.

Police in Juja arrested her brother, Charles Kibe, in connection with the murder after it emerged they had quarrelled over Weetabix before she mysteriously disappeared.
